 Personal profile:

Chu is a level II professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Sichuan University with a French Ph.D. He is an academic and technical leader in Sichuan Province, an Outstanding Talent in the New Century of the Ministry of Education, deputy director of the Sichuan Environmental Protection Catalytic Material Engineering Technology Research Center, and a leader of major national 973 projects. Born in 1965, he entered Nanjing University for undergraduate studies in 1980. Upon graduation, he was selected by the State Education Commission of PRC to study in France. In 1991, he received a doctorate degree from the University of Strasbourg in France (the top 100 in the world). He has been engaged in scientific research for 30 years, of which 13 years were spent abroad. He served as a senior scientist at the Headquarters Research Institute of SABIC a Fortune global 500 company for three years (as chief scientist of key project, PI). He once worked for famous overseas universities such as Munich University of Technology in Germany, Lille University of Technology in France, IUPUI University in the United States, Hokkaido University in Japan, National University of Singapore, as well as famous research institutions such as the Dalian Institute of Chemical Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a world-renowned scientist whose related research progress has received extensive attention from international scholars. He has published more than 300 papers in academic journals, which have been cited thousands of times by international scholars.
